Tour Down Under: Lance in the loop
The New Zealander Greg Henderson won the prologue at the Tour Down Under, Sunday, ahead of a pack of five runners, including seven-time champion of the Tour de France Lance Armstrong, who launched an attack late in the race.
Armstrong and Oscar Pereiro, also a former champion of the Tour de France, were part of a squad which has led for nine laps before being caught with two laps to go in this race of 50 km in 30 loops.

Henderson won in one hour, four minutes and 33 seconds. Armstrong eventually finished in 62nd place, eight seconds behind the leader.
The Tour Down Under begins officially on Tuesday. Armstrong had used the race six days to begin his return last year after three years of absence.
