The leader after the opening round, Rory McIlroy, had a round of misery bringing a card of 80. He moved to minus-1 in cumulative. In his defense, it must be said that the Northern Irishman has to deal with more difficult conditions in the morning.
After a hiatus of a little over an hour due to strong winds, the game being resumed at the British Open taking place on the fairways of St. Andrews. These storms fairly complicated work of golfers who were unable to make their putts, hence their balls in the wind.
Author of a 66 Thursday, John Daly also had a difficult day with a 76 and is currently at a lower 2. The Englishman Paul Casey has entered the second round at least six as his compatriot Lee Westwood.
