The England midfielder David Beckham insists he has no plans to retire after the next World Cup to be held this summer in South Africa.
The daily The Sun reported in its Saturday edition that the player of the Los Angeles Galaxy – whose services are currently leased by the AC Milan – was planning to retire and return to England following the competition.
But in an interview with The Associated Press Sunday, Beckham said: “I always said I would continue playing after the World Cup and it will not change.
Since his arrival in Milan, he started three games and played all 90 minutes of the match in the 4-0 win for AC Milan against Siena on Sunday.
