“My main aim in Paris was not to be beaten. I am currently at 80 percent of my ability,” said Jamaica’s 23-year-old triple Olympic sprint at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and the world in Berlin the following year, at a press conference Monday in Paris.

After a month off, Bolt has equaled 9.82 seconds in Lausanne in the world best in 2010 signed by his compatriot Asafa Powell.

“I am 100 percent in five weeks after doctors. For now, I stay on the straight. It is necessary that I avoid running into the curve next two weeks,” detailed Bolt, happy to come to Paris, “the world capital of shopping, but who does not make up the numbers on the Tartan Stade de France.

Click here to find out more!
“I think running around 9.70,” said Bolt, world record holder in the event, at a 100 m which looks royal. Eight of the nine have committed ran under 10 seconds this season, including the French Christophe Lemaitre, now in Valencia this weekend the first white athlete credited with less than 10 seconds over the distance of the sprint queen.

Lemaitre be surrounded by Bolt and Powell to his left to his right. Powell is the latest athlete to be dominated Bolt 100m two years ago, in July 2008 in Stockholm.

“The race in Stockholm, I analyzed to avoid repeating the same mistakes,” said Bolt. I feel fine, I’m well in training, I worked departures. ”

Bolt will hit U.S. $ 250,000 for his participation in the meeting Areva, which will allow him to do some shopping on the Champs-Elysees. “Shopping, I love it,” said the legendary Jamaican. The prints of his feet in gold were taken Monday and they now appear alongside those of Zinedine Zidane on the “Stade de France Boulevard, the roadway giants of world sport went through the walls of Saint-Denis.

Last year, Lawrence Bocquillet, the director of the competition, had paid U.S. $ 200,000 to bring the Jamaican. He believes that this is not “terribly expensive” compared to wages in particular France national football team. He estimated that 10,000 of the 33,000 tickets already sold have been the name of the legendary sprinter. Bolt confirmed on Monday that he will not participate in next month’s meeting at Crystal Palace, because of British tax system, too high according to his agent.

Nicknamed ‘lightning’ Bolt arrived in Paris in an electric atmosphere, thunderstorm, which could favor the first world record at the Stade de France.

The 110-meter hurdles and could enter the legend of St. Denis as will facing the Cuban Dayron Robles, Olympic champion and world record in the American David Oliver, credited with an explosive 12.90 seconds this season .

Other beautiful duels are scheduled for the ninth season round of the League of diamond Renaud Lavillenie undefeated this season, will face Olympic champion Steve Hooker’s pole vault; Croatia’s Blanka Vlasic will face revealing 2010 the height of Women, the American Chaunte Howard, while Teddy Tamgho any recent third world performer of all time, will face world champion in the triple jump as the Englishman Phillips Idowu. The javelin and 800m should also reserve beautiful wrangling.

The national marathon record holder, the Toledo Julio Rey, announced Wednesday his retirement from top flight but to porpósito a back injury that afflicts European since 2006 and has ensured that since then, it has “been very badly”.

King said in a press conference that the lumbar injury “was over” and when “was about to throw in the towel this spring,” two doctors Talavera (Albir and Nunez) gave the key: one vertebra had moved to press the sciatic nerve and no solution. Only he was ‘calm’ an epidural which helped him prepare his last marathon in Amsterdam on Sunday.

The athlete said that the decision has been very thoughtful. “He had very high expectations, but the final competition and sentencing, as he was eight miles, started the trouble and I was forced to retire,” said.

The athlete said that the decision has been very thoughtful. “If I had gone right, I had intended to hold out until next summer (European Championships in Barcelona) but could not be, unfortunately.”

At the end of his long career, King said he did not go “sad” that has achieved “great success” and expressed pride in being the current national record holder (2.6:52, Hamburgo’06), with a brand that is trusted overcome soon, “hopefully for the good of Spanish athletics.

Usain Bolt has continued to talk about gold medal and world record at a stratospheric 200 meters Thursday at the World Championships in Athletics in Berlin.

In 19.19 seconds, the Jamaican improved by 11 hundredths of seconds the previous world record, as it did four days ago by spraying in the 9.58 world record of 100 meters.

Author of 100-200 meters double at the Olympic Games in Beijing last year with already two world records beaten, Bolt was able to repeat this amazing feat in Berlin, relegating the opposition to over 10 meters at a 200 meters fly high.

Usain Bolt

“I have given everything. I made a good start was the key. After the start, I felt good,” said Bolt, launched a rocket in the corridor 5.

The Panama Edward Alonso was relegated to 0.62 seconds, while American Wallace Spearmon was given the bronze.

Click here to find out more!
Bolt could not disappoint, since just before the race, Jamaica before once again marked the spirits expeditiously with the victory in the 400 meter hurdles Melaine Walker of world champion after being sacred Olympic champion.

Bolt, who succeeds the winners to the American Tyson Gay – who had missed the race due to injury – is now the Berlin of Jamaicans. “Ich bin ein Berliner”, said U.S. President John F. Kennedy during the Cold War. Bolt was originally presented with a jersey “Ich bin ein Berlino”, in reference to the nickname of the mascot of the World in Germany.

On the eve of his 23rd birthday, Bolt has confirmed he is no longer on the same planet as the other sprinters.

Walker finished the 400 meter hurdles in 52.42 seconds, the second time in history. She anticipated the American Lashinda Demus (52.96) and Josanne Lucas of Trinidad and Tobago took the bronze in 53.20. Only the Russian Yuliya Pechenkina was better when she ran 52.34 in August 2003.

The warm evening in Berlin (30 degrees) was wonderful from start to finish also with the Croatian Blanka Vlasic who has retained his world title to the task. Surprise in Beijing where she had to be content with silver, Vlasic has cleared a bar at 2.04 meters before failing three times at 2.10 m, a bar called a centimeter over the world record. The Olympic bronze medalist Russia’s Anna Chicherova took the money before the German Ariane Friedrich, both athletes have crossed 2.02 m. Belgian Olympic champion Tia Hellebaut had retired before Berlin.

The wheel has turned in 110 m hurdles. Ryan Brathwaite of Barbados won the photo finish. After hitting the first hurdle, he committed a fault-free to succeed in 13.14 seconds.

American Terrence Trammell took the silver in 13.15 ahead of his compatriot David Payne.

The final took place without some of the best specialists in the high hurdles. The Olympic champion and world record holder, Dayron Robles of Cuba has been released in the semi-finals, injured after hitting the first three obstacles. The world champion title, the Chinese Liu Xiang, was not aligned in Berlin due to injury

In the end Powell and several of his compatriots may apply to the World Athletics Championships in Berlin. According to the agent broker Jamaican Federation has given back and the sprinters fail to compete.

On the morning of Wednesday announced that the IAAF had received a notification for several Jamaican athletes, including Asaf Powell and Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser, was dropped from the list of American country for the World.

Asaf Powell

The reason was that Powell, the Olympic 100 meters champion, Shelly-Ann Fraser, the Olympic 400 meters champion, Melaine Walker, the vallista Brigitte Foster-Hylton and sprinter Shericka Williams did not go to the concentration of Nuremberg and decided to go to their coach, in northern Italy.

“The Jamaican Federation sent a letter to the IAAF asking to remove the athletes from the registration list. There were several meetings and the Jamaican Federation sent another letter asking to cancel the previous one. Remove the athletes was not good for anyone.
